Common Questions

Common questions about drug and alcohol treatment in Coral Springs, FL

Direct answers to the questions our admissions team hears every day. If yours isn't here, call (555) 213-0099 — confidential, 24/7.

PHP (Partial Hospitalization) is the highest-intensity outpatient level, roughly 25 hours per week of clinical programming with a return home or to sober living each evening. IOP (Intensive Outpatient) runs 9 to 15 hours per week across 3 to 5 days. Residential treatment provides 24/7 on-site care for severe presentations.

Dual diagnosis is the default at Harborlight: substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health conditions are treated concurrently by the same clinical team, not sequentially. Our psychiatrist manages medications for depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and ADHD alongside addiction treatment.

Harborlight is in-network with most major commercial plans. Most plans cover PHP and IOP at a substantial percentage of allowed charges after deductible. Our admissions team completes a confidential benefits check in about 15 minutes so you understand your copay and coinsurance before treatment begins.

PHP runs Monday through Friday, roughly 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Each day includes a morning check-in, two group therapy sessions, a lunch break, a specialty therapy session, and an individual therapy or discharge planning session with your primary counselor.

Most clients complete several weeks of PHP followed by IOP, then step down to standard outpatient or alumni programming. Continuous treatment engagement over an extended period is associated with stronger long-term outcomes, and our step-down model is designed to keep clients engaged.

Harborlight does not provide on-site medical detox; we are an outpatient PHP/IOP/standard outpatient program. Our admissions team coordinates detox placement with licensed medical detox partners and arranges same-week transition into programming upon stabilization.

IOP clients typically maintain employment during treatment, with morning and afternoon tracks available. PHP requires more hours and often medical leave. Family therapy is built into every level of care because family involvement is one of the strongest predictors of sustained recovery.
